About Kim:

I am a Maryland Eastern Shore native and I’ve always been passionate about helping those that feel they can not help themselves. From a young age I have faced my fair share of struggles, disappointments, life lessons, as well as blessings. I have learned that everyday will not be perfect so it’s important to know your limits and take one day at a time.
Through some hard times, I have made many hard decisions in order to accomplish my dreams. While being a struggling single mother of two young children and working full time, I graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
For the last 15 years, I have been a professional Human Resources (HR) representative in various capacities within the State of Maryland. In these positions, I’ve learned that lack of knowledge, resources, and financial planning hinders a lot of people from meeting their lifelong goals.
Throughout my life, I have learned how to survive through all the No’s while patiently waiting for the Yes’. I’ve survived living paycheck to paycheck, homelessness, and debt. Through it all the one thing that I wish I had was someone to hold me accountable. That is exactly what I want to do for you.
With the support of my church family, organizational and time management skills are two things that I am proud to say I have conquered over the last few years. While employed full time, raising a teenager with an intellectual disability, and recently dealing with the new norm of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was able to obtain a Masters in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) on May 15th, 2021.
Today I am a mother of two, grandmother of a beautiful baby girl, graduate, boss lady, entrepreneur, and survivor of my past. It is never too late to start over!!
